Welcome to our unique and beautiful town which has much to offer in addition to its magnificent scenery. The town has all the services required of a modern town including water and sewer and telecommunication services. We are serviced by the larger town in Conception Bay North including Bay Roberts and Carbonear with hospital, post-secondary and training, policing, and shopping, and are approximately a one-hour drive from the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John’s. We are also about a one-hour drive from Argentia, the eastern terminal for the ferry service between the Island of Newfoundland and North Sidney in Nova Scotia. There is a strong sense of community. The town council members, the volunteer fire department, the church and other volunteer community organizations contribute to the spirit of the town and organize many events for the common good of the community. | |
